We GUARANTEE to beat the local competition. Another Bookstore is fiercly competitive saving you significant cash every semester. If we mess up and you purchase a book for less at the campus store, bring in your receipt, we'll lower the price, refund the difference and give you a free notebook for your troubles.
About The Campus Store
The on Campus Bookstore is operated by Barnes & Noble College Booksellers. The campus store returns a portion of their sales(11%) to the University. They don't however pay the school for rent, electricity, heating, airconditioning, phone, internet and many other costs assocated with operating a retail store.
Another Bookstore is independently owned and operated. We contribute 11% of all our Blue Chip sales to the University too! We opted into the Bluechip program to do that! We will also glady donate money and products to many organizations on and off campus, not because we HAVE to, but because we WANT to.
LOWEST PRICE: Simply check the Campus store's published prices on their textbooks and then check ours. It will be apparent who has the lowest prices. Not only do we have lower prices, we provide coupons, and give out free notebooks.
STUDENT EMPLOYER: The campus store is the largest student employer on campus, since they are one of the largest entities on campus. We're a smaller store and employee less people, but all our employees are, or have been students at this University. If we were a larger store, we would have more employees too...
50% Cash Back & Buyback Policy
We Buy Back books all year.
We buy books purchased from The Campus Store, Online or anywhere. It doesn't matter where you bought your books we'll buy them!
You don't need a receipt, but you need a valid ID.
The best time to sell books is the week before finals.
You can receive up to 50%, or sometimes more, of the original selling price.
If your instructor placed a book order with us for the following semester for the same textbook, you will receive half of what you paid for it, until we have reached our quota for that title. (If there are only 10 students taking the course next semester, and there are 50 taking it currently, we can only buy up to 10 at 50%.)
To ensure the highest price given to you for buyback, strongly encourage your instructors to give us their book orders before finals.
Books not being used the following semester are given a national "Blue Book" value for buyback.
Books that came with CD's originally are sometimes worth more if the CD remains with the book. We can not buy CD's separately.
Don't write in study guides! If you must, make a copy of the page you need and write on the copy. Study guides and workbooks are worthless with writing or pages missing.
We buy books many other store won't! Do you have a stack of textbooks from your old school in your closet? Bring them by you may be surprised!
The only books that we will not buy back are international editions that students buy overseas.
ALL BUYBACKS ARE FINAL!
Your Instructor has the BIGGEST influence on the amount of money
you get from us for buyback. Please encourage them to place their
book orders with us. It's the ONLY thing standing between you
and MORE CASH! If we don't have their order, we can't raise the
amount we give you when you sell us your textbook.
RETURN POLICY
The LAST DAY for RETURNS for the current session will be printed on your receipt.
You must have a receipt to return textbooks!
Books must be in the same condition as when you bought them.
Any books bought in shrinkwrap, must remain sealed in the shrinkwrap.
If you paid in cash, you get cash
If you paid with a check, we will give you credit until the check clears. (15 days)
If you paid with a credit card, credit will be credited back to the same card only so bring it with you.
Small books that can be read quickly are not returnable, unless you return ALL the books for the same class at the same time. (We are not a library.)
